THE WILDHEARTS have been officially tapped to open for THE DARKNESS on their upcoming U.S. tour. As a result, many of the shows on THE WILDHEARTS' originally announced U.S. tour have had to be cancelled.

Commented THE WILDHEARTS frontman Ginger: "I apologize on behalf of the band and management for the cancellation of the forthcoming U.S. tour, in favor of continuing to tour with THE DARKNESS around the world. This DARKNESS tour means that we can reach more people, and that means coming back to headline USA a heck of a lot more in the future.

I may be going to the show just to see The Wildhearts...I coudl care less about The Darkness, but my sis likes them so...oh well.
Don't know if so, or if I'll hit the Houtson or Austin show.

Well, it is cool that The Darkness are repaying the favor to The Wildhearts. I am not too crazy about this, as it means a larger venue than where they were playing, but oh well. I also don't know how much of it I will stick around for. But, my wife likes The Darkness, and she likes The Wildhearts, so it is almost a garauntee that she will also want to go, so that's cool.

Now, if The Darkness got Hanoi onto the bill also, I would have to admit that from taht day forward I would always buy Darkness stuff just to support them. I do respect them though for bringing Ginger and crew.

Hmmm, not sure where they are playing here, but you can't get too much smaller than where they were playing to begin with. Almost anything should be a step up.

Yup, just checked, The Vic is where they are playing, and that is definetly a pretty good step up! It's one of my favorite places to see bands play, and should be quite a fun time!
